The (April) Must-Tries
During Parents weekend, a few of my friends and I found this quaint restaurant to go with our families. With great vegetarian options as well as a variety of meat and seafood dishes, Café Henri serves traditional American food that is to die for. The restaurant itself was contemporary with a laid-back yet sophisticated mood to it. Although difficult to decide, I would say that the grilled avocado was the biggest hit, and that all of our families walked out of there with happy bellies!
As one of my favorite places in New Orleans, St.Roch Market is truly one of a kind. St. Roch Market is a hub of all different kinds of vendors such as ones that serve Vietnamese food, Mexican food, special desserts, avocado-toast everything, seafood and an oyster bar. My favorite meals are the Chimi Chimi Bang Bang from Juice Nola and the Market Ceviche from Elsyian Seafood. St.Roch Market comes especially handy when going to eat with a big group because there’s always something for everyone! You can be certain of great food, calming music, twinkly lights and good vibes overall.
Located in the garden district, this little coffee shop is delectable. If the coffee wasn’t good enough, Hivolt has healthy breakfast bowls, salads and sandwiches that will rock your world. My personal favorite is the Ozzy; a quinoa bowl with avocado, cherry tomatoes, greens, two poached eggs, and a kefir herb dressing. Even though it tends to be a little packed during the day, Hivolt is a great place to study and the food is a plus!
